The police have revealed the details of the Bhavna murder case that took place in Pallavpuram, Meerut on December 26, 2015. Bhavna was the daughter-in-law of former district panchayat member Poonam Chaudhary and former headman Brajveer Singh Munnu. Her husband, Prashant, hired shooters to kill her.

On the night of December 26, 2015, Bhavna was shot dead by unknown assailants. In the same attack, her husband Prashant was also injured by a bullet. Relatives of Bhavna registered a complaint against five people, including former block chief Rahu Dev and two unknown individuals, for the murder.

However, during the police investigation, no evidence was found against the accused. The case was eventually solved by the Zone Crime Branch. Prashant, along with two shooters, was arrested for his involvement in the murder.
