Wife and Three Others Arrested for Murder of Businessman

The wife of a local businessman and three other individuals were arrested in connection with his murder in Thane's Bhiwandi town. The victim, Dileep Kundanmal Jain, was killed before some miscreants decamped with cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.25 lakhs. Dileep's wife, Payal Jain, filed a complaint with local police that some miscreants had entered their house who killed her husband and took away the valuables.

During the investigation, the police examined the CCTV footage of a nearby location and arrested the killers, who later confessed to the crime. Based on the information provided by them, the police arrested Payal from her residence and her maid servant, Manjula Mukeshkumar Gomatilal, from Rajasthan for allegedly hatching the conspiracy and hiring the men to kill Dileep.

Payal reportedly wanted to get rid of her husband, frequently quarreling over various issues, and apparently eyed her father-in-law's property in Rajasthan. She arranged for her husband's 'contract killing' with the help of her maid, the latter's brother, and two other killers. The accused have been booked under various sections of the IPC, and the police are still looking for another accused in the case.
