Minor Boy Arrested for Murder of Bank Manager's Wife in Jaipur

The Jaipur Police commissionerate has arrested a minor boy and his aide for the murder of a 50-year-old woman, Somawati Devi. The boy, who is a relative of the deceased, had conspired with his 21-year-old associate Vinod Meena to carry out the murder and robbery at her home in Mahesh Nagar area of the city.

The police have recovered the stolen booty, including Rs 35,000 in cash, and gold and silver ornaments from the duo. During interrogation, the minor boy confessed that he wanted to take revenge on his sister's husband for harassing and torturing her.

The duo had spent time at Somawati's home, eating meals before executing their plan. Both have been booked under various sections of the IPC including sections 302 (murder) and 394 (robbery).
