Thakur Girl Shot by Father and Brothers Over Relationship with Dalit Youth
In a horrific incident in the Etmadpur police station area of Agra, a 19-year-old girl from the Thakur community was shot by her own father and two brothers. The shocking act occurred when they discovered a Dalit youth, Sher Singh, in the girl's room at their house on Monday night. The accused allegedly fired five bullets into the girl's body.
Initially, the victim's father, Ashok Sikarwar, attempted to frame Sher Singh for the murder. However, during the preliminary investigation, Sikarwar's involvement in the crime was revealed, leading to his arrest. Two of Sikarwar's sons, Sachin and Vipin, were also found to be involved and are currently on the run, according to SO Amit Kumar of the Etmadpur police station.
The incident unfolded when Sher Singh, who was reportedly having an affair with the girl, entered her house and went to her room. Upon waking up, the girl's father alerted his sons and entered the room. As the girl tried to flee, her father and brothers allegedly shot her on the spot using a licensed revolver and country-made weapons.
Sher Singh, who had locked himself inside the room, was eventually taken into custody by the police. During questioning, he revealed that the girl's father and brothers were responsible for her murder. Subsequently, the girl's father confessed to the crime after being brought to the police station.
