E-commerce executive kidnapped, Shahrukh Khan's Darr inspires abductor

E-commerce senior executive Dipti Sarna (24) was abducted from an isolated spot near Raj Nagar Extension area at knife point, as per her statement. Five days later, police arrested five men involved in the case, with the prime accused being a Sonepat resident with 30 cases related to robbery, attempt to murder, and kidnapping.

The prime accused revealed that he was inspired by Shahrukh Khan's movie, Darr, and had been following Dipti for months, having spotted her at Rajiv Chowk Metro station about a year ago. He involved four other men from his village and had been tracking her movement, shifting to a rented accommodation in Khoda colony, and driving auto-rickshaws from Vaishali Metro station to Ghaziabad.

Dipti declined to comment on the case, hoping that no one else faces the same ordeal. Police managed to recover several items from the accused and identify them as Pradeep, Mohit, Fayim, and Majid.
