Body of missing 6-year-old girl found in neighbour's house
The body of a six-year-old girl who had been missing was discovered in a room cooler at her neighbour's house in Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan. Police suspect that the girl was raped. The girl had gone missing the day before, and after suspicion arose, the house of a neighbour in the victim's neighbourhood, Anshu Soni, was searched, resulting in the recovery of the body from a room cooler.
According to Deputy SP (Rural) Bachan Singh Meena, it is believed that Anshu raped and then strangled the girl to death. Anshu, who is between the ages of 21 and 22 and lives with his parents, has been arrested, and his parents have claimed they were unaware that the body was in their home. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
